Phyllis Margolin

This page is in memory of a good friend and an amazing artist.  Phyllis's paintings are not for sale at this time but please enjoy the small sampling of her works that are on display.  You will find more pieces of Phyllis' work on our Private Collections page.

Phyllis was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and raised in Stouffville Ontario. She lived, taught and painted in the USA for 30 years - Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Missouri. Phyllis built her home in Argenta, BC in 1969 and lived there until her passing in August of 2008.  She was well known and loved as an artist and a teacher.  Her landscape paintings reflected her appreciation of the Kootenays and her love of nature, which inspired and sustained her all her life.  There are Phyllis' pieces in the Nelson Gallery, Kansas City permanent collection, National Gallery, Ottawa permanent collection, private collections in England, Scotland, Hawaii, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Florence, Italy and across Canada and the USA.
